The X-Project
Show us some love!
20th-Nov-2007 09:57 am
It's been a while since we last did one of these, and we have more than a few new people making their mark on the game plus American Thanksgiving coming up, so, here we go, the Love/Feedback Meme, Mark II.

The concept's pretty simple. There's a comment below for every player in XP, with a note as to who they play. Want to leave some feedback? Just comment to the comment. Want to leave feedback to the game overall, or something for one of our dearly departed players? Comment to this post. And because last time the thread got huge, Nute and I have pre-emptively added links to each person's thread as part of their player page on the Wiki, so if you're having trouble loading pages due to the size of the thread, go via the Wiki and get a shortcut straight to the player you want. :)

Edit: Don't forget the players on page 2! They need love too!

Player of Remy and Garrison.

What's NOT to say about you. Another one of our wearer of many hats: a fantastic writer, great plot thinker and runner, master of the wiki (Rossi is the all seeing mistress ;) )...Remy has grown on both myself and Wanda and I love the interaction with between the two. In fact, more Remy = better times.

Garrison needs to come back soon, dammit. He's funny and real and I adore everything about him. (Excuse me while I go lick the PB for a moment.) It's been fun watching him balance the X-Men and the FBI stuff.

You're brilliant. You plot like other people breathe, and I always envy the depth of your writing. Remy is probably one of the most complex characters in the game. I also appreciate how you subtly push others around you to be better. The Doug-Remy log was one of the harder logs I've written in some time, because you didn't ever give me any easy outs, you made me work for it, and I think the log is stronger for it.

Evil, evil man.

You plot more than you drink and that amazes me. You're able to seemingly effortlessly draw characters into your schemes and encompass the whole game as if there were only a couple characters. Amazing work.

Most of our logging interaction has oddly been in the form of NPCs. We need to orchestrate some reason for Cain and Remy to share lodging for a while just for old time's sake. As a plotter, one of your greatest strengths is the ability to see the big picture while still remaining flexible. It's a rare gift, usually only found through the use of hallucinogenics.

Like I said in the last version of this, your contribution to the game goes above and beyond playing and plotting. So many of the big ideas have been yours - X-Force, the Wiki - and you've brought in more people to the game than anyone else. Better than that, you've helped give people reasons to stay, going out of your way to create and run plots that give our new players something to get involved in and possible character development paths.

Remy's development this year has been phenomenal. After spending so many nights at the pub talking over plots and ideas and classic images, it seems a little odd seeing them finally come to fruition, better than we'd hoped. And that's because you have the ability to enthuse people, to include them, and to give them as much leeway as they need to work their characters, even if they don't always take it. ;) I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of Remy now, in the wake of New Orleans.

Garrison's story is really just beginning, in a way. He's been so ill at ease and lost among the X-Men, and 13 Days seems to be a bit of a watershed moment for him. Where he goes from here will be just as interesting. And bearded. ;)

On a personal note... you're my roommate, and the fact you haven't strangled me (or the kits) yet sometimes boggles me. Thanks for everything you do.

Dex is another one who helped me coming into the game. He helped make Kevin's arrest go through smoothly. He was also immensely helpful with ideas for it as I am not law girl and he managed to not kill me for all my "but that doesn't make sense"-ing during the planning period. I like reading Remy and I love Kevin disliking Garrison
